Help So apparently Handcent was screwing with my GMAIL app...

Downloaded Handcent about a week ago and I didn't even realize this until last night, but since I downloaded it, my default HTC GMAIL app had been non-existent. I didn't even realize that I had stopped getting new e-mail notifications until I went to check my e-mail on my phone last night and saw that the last e-mail in my inbox was from June 20 (when I downloaded Handcent).

Kept tinkering with GMail settings today but not much changed..I wasn't getting notified about new emails and whenever I went to the GMail app, I had to hit refresh to see any new emails.

Now I've uninstalled Handcent and its back to normal...weird..has this happened to anyone else?

That's pretty weird. Nothing like that on my end, sorry.

That's weird. The only thing that I found that stops you from getting gmail notifications is when you stop GTalkService, so I stopped doing that.

I have handcent and it hasn't affected my Gmail app at all

Hmmm. I've been using handcent from my old G1 to this EVO, and never had anything like this happen.
