Root So confused... 2.3.4

I am really confused with my evo I just got yesterday.

I am running on

Android 2.3.4
HBOOT 1.43.0000
HTC sense 3.0
Software 1.47.1010.4
kernel 2.6.35.13
Baseband 10.49b.9007.00U

I have read all the rooting guides and nothing works.

Any ideas.? I have a few jailbroken iphones(I just dont want my iphones any more) I have a rooted Atrix and Galaxy SGSII but I want to root my evo. Thus why I am so confused.

Did you get that information by pulling and inserting your battery and then pushing the power and volume down button to boot into bootloader? I'm not familiar with that Hboot.

And you have the original Evo 4g?
Not the slider or the 3D?
 
Doesnt look like a factory stock evo so im guessing whoever you got it from already had it rooted with a custom rom or maybe its 3vo:confused::confused::confused:

ok so you sure you have an evo? that hboot does not correspond with any hboots for the evo. plus the evo stock does not come with gingerbread 2.3.4 or with sense 3.0.

it could be the evo 3d as the current hboot is 1.50. so maybe that is an older hboot. i know they just had a few updates so i'm guessing that is the case.

you can always check with the revolutionary wiki:public:revolutionary [RootWiki]. it has a list of support devices. if your device is not on there then you might want to try the other forums.
 
yes I am 100% sure its a evo 4g I got it straight out of the box from the cellphone store.

Box says HTC EVO 4G+ X515E

Upon further investigation I think this may be what everyone is calling HTC Rider?

yeah i do not think that there is a root method for that phone yet. the revolutionary wiki does not list it as a supported device. i tried searching for an alternative root method but could not find one. you can go to the revolutionary website. they have a link to thier irc channel. maybe you can go on there and see if they can point you in the right direction.
