Help So, does the GPS work?

Very good, I've had no problems with it. It works indoors reasonably well, although it doesn't perform miracles, it is at least as good as any other phone I've used.

Yes. All the tech sites have tried and tested this problem and it supposed to be very good now.

Thank goodness. But I would like a general consensus on this, however. The first GS had many failures, but many were still fairly functional. Hopefully the fail rate of the GS2 GPS is much, much lower.

On a side note, are there any random reboots that people have been noticing? I hear the GS had a lot of random reboots as one of its many plaguing problems.

I think it definitely is seeing as I haven't heard any negatives about the GPS. I haven't got a GSII but the many forums of "i've got one" and reviews I've been reading have no negatives what so ever about random reboots or anything like that. This phone might actually be.....(dare I say)....perfect!
(Apart from keyboard, but there's the market for that :).)

I have a GS2 and yes the GPS is very very good!!!

I came from a GS and an i7500 before that, so i can confirm the new setup is leaps and bounds ahead of the old!

If this is indeed true, and the GPS and reboot issues are fixed, I do think we may have a winner. Can't believe I'm thinking about going back to a Samsung product, but the reviews from not only users, but from tech sites consistently giving great numbers, I am seriously considering this as an upgrade from my outdated desire.

Coming from the i7500 the gps is so much better, the gps doesnt lag behind as you are driving, mine got a lock in about 30 seconds the first time, plus it stores where you have been so you get locks faster if you start from the same location most times. (eg from home/work)
My only minor annoyance is that it gets VERY hot, the combination of sun & being used on my dash as a sat nav got the screen really hot & the back was very warm. Not sure if the heat is coming from the screen or the chips but i would guess the screen.

GPS is fine, it locked on very quickly when indoors compared to my old phone and bluebooth GPS.

Also worked fine this morning on the way to work, tracked me all the way.
