Root So I bought an Incredible

I sold my LG Ally for $167 on eBay and I bought a HTC Droid Incredible, for $300 plus $7 shipping. So did I do alright with the price? and what roms and kernels do you guys recommand when I root it? Also I was looking at the ROM list and I saw some of the framework wasn't Sense, I want Sense in the ROM.
 
Welcome man, IDK anything about prices but the Incredible is a good phone. I personally use a deodexed version of the stock OTA 2.2 ROM so I can do whatever MODs I want to it.
 
Alright well I'll look deeper into it. I just try ROMS when I get my Incredible and find the one I like.
 
i also recommend virtuous rom, in addition you should get rom manager from the market it will help you manage your roms and quickly switch between them and backup your phone

No. CM6 is an AOSP (android open source project) rom. It is as vanilla as they come. It has no sense in it (as opposed to skyraider vanilla or the like, which is a desensitized sense rom). It has things added, too, like an extended options power control widget and other useful features.

CM 6.0.2 is my favorite ROM, but it was a bit too buggy for me. I kept it for some months, but it kept disconnecting the radio (I would just get no service or anything until I rebooted), and it restarted randomly. When all of that is fixed, I am going right back to it.

Alright thanks guys. I'm going to look into more when I get my Incredible sometime this week or next. Definitely looking forward to getting this phone and rooting it!
