So I can't add video files?

I have the Samsung Galaxy YP-G1, running Firmware 2.3.5. It's a Gingerbread.

I have a lot of video files that I rip from Youtube in either .flv or .mp4 format. When I add them to my device, I notice that it slows down. I'll tap an app to open, and it will take a few seconds before it opens. This never happens until I put some video files on my device.

It's not like I'm adding a lot. My music alone is about 19-20GB. I've only added MAYBE 250MB of video files so far, and it's already slowing down.

Is it the fact that it's video files? Maybe it's the filetype? MAYBE I should only transfer files that are a small size? Like less than 20MB. I don't get it.

you are putting the movies on to a sd card, correct? what exactly slows down? what app?

I'm fairly sure the files are going on my SD card. It's the highest speed SD card they have out right now. I'm downloading the files onto it using the BubbleUPnP app. Everything on the device slows down. If I keep using it, keeping the light on the screen on, the slow speed goes away in about a minute or two. If I do nothing for a while, then come back to it, it will be slow all over again.

I mean it could be slowing down to load all those files if you are opening the place where they are located.

You also might want to just rip those songs on your computer then transfer them onto your device.
