Help So...I really screwed it up, missing folders

Lurker
Ok, so I have used XNJB to transfer files to my tab from my mac for a while now, and have no idea how I screwed my tablet up.

I plug it in, transfer files, done. Then I notice the new files were placed in the root...ugh, will have to move them. I disconnect the tablet, open up my file manager, and see...nothing. Most of my folders on the tablet are MISSING!

I have movies, and more importantly...photos I took of a family member with her first check from a publishing co. for a book she's been working toward for a long time now. That check is cashed, the photos seem to be gone...I'm ready to cry.

Because the tablet does not show up as a drive letter on a pc, I cannot use any file recovery tools or at least haven't found any that'll work :(

So I guess I have two questions, or rather pleas:

1. Is there ANY way I can recover these files that have disappeared?
2. How do I recreate alll the missing folders now?

What a horrible day...please please help if you can

If you can still get on the market get es file explorer.
you should be able to find yourbfolders with that. Have you gone to the Acer web site for the USB driver although I don't know if that is for the Mac. After you get the files back you can do a factory restore.
If that works just copy and paste to SD card.you just need to know which card is the sdcard.it will be called external sdcard.

For windows I have had good resukts using a utility called Testdisk. Its free recognizes drives and can "recover" deleted files (at least personally has done so a cfew times from USB drives)

But probably like mentioned above u need the window driver from Acer site first.

Best of luck
