Root So i rooted my phone now what?

Hello guys i am new to the whole phone hacking/ rooting scene and i have a few questions. Anyway i just just rooted my Optimus V, other than overclocking it what cool apps and new features can i now access on my phone?

Also my phone restarts when i overclock it how can i fix this problem?

I'm not sure on the apps you can now run. I personally can't stand the stock ROM, so I use exclusively the BACKSide ROM. A lot of features and tweaks you now have by installing any custom ROM for the 'V'.

As for your restart problem, try lowering your overclock speed.

As yogi4 pointed out lowering your cpu speed on the stock ROM will help.
Did you install a custom recovery?now that you are rooted and can accidentally delete,or modify,or add to something that will case your stock ROM to act funky or crash. YOU MUST INSTALL A CUSTOM RECOVERY,AND BACK UP YOUR PHONE IN THE MENU OF SAID CUSTOM RECOVERY(BACKUP AND RESTORE SECTION). If you want to stay stock for a little while,but really want to be overclocked then you want the picasticks kernel. In recovery you only have to wipe cache partition,and Dalvik cache for this kernel to work. Then you should be able to overclock to 787MHz-825MHZ maybe. If the phone reboots at a certain cpu sped,then knock it back two settings(no-frills cpu control or set cpu)

Thanks Andyopie. My phone is now running on the CM7 rom. I will try to overclock it and see if it still reboots
