$725 bucks from Amazon with a Warranty..(Not sure how long....1 year?)

The problem is that I don't really have $725 to waste, so I'd have to get an iPhone 4S or something to sell on Craigslist as "New in box"

I have a few concerns here......I've heard that if you purchase a phone through AT&T and don't "use" that phone, they will charge you

Isn't that basically scamming them? I'm not sure how this works....

Maybe I should just hold out? Can anyone chime in?

Much appreciated, thank you.

I don't believe they care as long as you continue paying the bill. The problem comes when you buy a new phone which requires a data plan and you sell it on eBay and then call At&t and say you want to drop the data plan because you don't need it anymore.

I have gone back to an old Blackberry twice for a total of about 6 weeks by just putting my SIM into an old phone and they never cared. But I have never got a new phone and sold it immediately.

If At&t recognizes the IMEA on their network with a different SIM, you want to know if they will care? I doubt it. If you sell it to someone on T-Mobile, Rogers or other non-At&t but somewhat compatible carrier, you wouldn't have an issue ;)

I have the same problem with the new Dodge Charger. Really want it, but don't have enough the $29,000 to waste.....

No reason to be a smart ass

I have $300 to waste on a phone, but AT&T's line-up doesn't interest me.

And no, I don't have $29k for a Dodge Charger either :p
