I don't know what all this band stuff means. I just want to know if Verizon will ever get it??

There are two types of cell phone technology - GSM and CDMA. GSM is much more common worldwide, and is easier to move an unlocked phone between carriers. AT&T and T-Mobile are GSM, Verizon and Sprint are CDMA.
The official Honor 5x spec page lists only GSM bands so it wont work with Verizon or Sprint:

Nope, not unless they make a CDMA/EVDO customized version for them. They don't even do a CDMA/EVDO version of the Honor X5 here for China Telecom.
