Root So much crashing!

Hey guys

I've been trying to keep my phone as stable as possible, but it seems like a lot of apps are crashing on my ZTE Supreme (VM)

From facebook, to YouTube, to chrome, a lot of things just tend to go wrong with this phone.

I'm rooted and have installed CWM Recovery, so I tried to clear the cache, same problem. I tried clearing dalvik cache, no dice.

There was one instance when I tried to manually uninstall apps by deleting their dex files and reinstalling the app, which worked! Until reboot... :/

I was just wondering if anyone has been having issues with app crashes.
I have a relative with another ZTE from metro who gets a lot of crashes too. I'm not entirely sure if it's the phone, Android, or the app.

Thanks guys!

Are you using Titanium Backup to restore apps and data? That could be the problem if your are. It's best to just restore the data only.

If not, maybe uninstall apps one by one and see how things go. You may have an app gone rogue and messing up your system. Or you can to factory data reset and add a few apps at a time to find the culprit.

You can also download Clean Master and see which app are running in the background. Usually apps gone rogue will show up in the taking up too ram.

Thanks for the reply! I used clean master, to no avail :/

But I did go to Android drawer and found older versions of these problem apps, and installed them. They seem pretty stable, for now.

I'll post again if they start acting up again, but this seems to have solved it.

So I went and got a free replacement from Virgin! (woot )

And I found out that facebook still crashes on a fresh phone! Other than that it seems to be working properly!

I have also found that the 4GB of "unusable" space is located at /mnt/asec
This space is completely empty, and is meant to be used by App2SD. This can save you some space in your sdcard0 :D
