Help So... This is getting annoying.

So..... I love my GS2 I really do. But I hate the sms notifications. I am currently using go sms and if I am in the app or typing a message and someone sends a message the normal notification blares out. I miss when I was in sms on my iphone it just made a very subtle tone that was not loud nor annoying over and over again.

Why don't you go to settings->sound and adjust your notification sound level?

I did that but it changes it to where I can't hear it while the phone is in my desk or pocket

I have used AutomateIt Pro and Llama to work around this. I only stopped using AutomateIt Pro because the app stopped working properly (even after reinstall).

In Llama, you can create an event based on GoSMS being open to switch your sound profile to one with the notification sound lowered or off. Then you create a second event to turn the notification back up when you exit GoSMS.
