So we cant save Gmail Attachments?!?!?

Yea pictures are easy but what If I wanna send a mp3 file? I can send it now using Astro but when its sent to the gmail account there is no way to save the file. THIS SUCKS!

Is there a work around??

Have you tried accessing it through the browser? That should have full functionality.
 
The only 2 ways that I know of right now with out using a aftermarket email app are.
1. use the browser like the previous poster said or
2. if you have unlimited text foward it from your Gmail to your your10digetcellnumber@vzwpix.com

Personaly I use 2 if it's something I want to save.
 
I keep a shortcut to mobile gmail on the home screen. Long press the gmail bookmark and select "add shortcut to home"

Then hook it up to your computer via the USB cable or take out the SD Card. :D
But seriously, you can only send a certain size of files through pix messaging. Just wait until you get home to plug it in.

This is pointless if I wanna send it to my buddy thats standing right next to me, I cant even send via bluetooth either...

Not sure, I looked at the description and it looked as if though it was to transfer files to and from your computer via bluetooth, not too sure if it would work to a phone. I dont have another phone or someone to try it with right now so maybe someone will chime in here...
 
If you use Astro File Manager you can dig into your SD card find the mp3 and long press. You should get an option to send at the bottom.

Edit: When in doubt long press your option will reveal itself.
 
the gmail app size limit is VERY limited, no where near what could be sent through your actual gmail

and yes, I do think paying for unlimited internet access should allow me to send VIDEOS to people should I so desire.

Haven't tried it from online yet, just know that the app sucks about it
 
It's limited to only those who have it, but if you get the app Bump, you can bump the phones at the same time and it transfers data. So far only for iPhones and Android. I haven't tried it but it should work for anything. I've been able to send full mp3s via gmal though. I sent it from Outlook on my computer and my boyfriend got it on his Droid.
