I love porsche.. and I by no means think of the nissan as "settling" however, I love the cars for what they are.
The nissan 370z represents something realistic and practical in the near future.. I could probably have it and a bigger vehicle (for family) for the same price as a Carrera.
The Carrera represents my fantasy (one day reality)... A luxurious sports car that doesn't skimp out anywhere and is aesthetically pleasing to me beyond belief.
My yaris now? I'm cheap and reliable XD.

had a 73 dodge truck, then a 94 eclipse in high school. traded the eclipse in for a 98 jeep wrangler, eventually traded that in for a civic (AZ had a gas line rupture, gas was up near $4 a gallon, couldnt afford to drive the jeep). civic was smushed in a car accident, went to a toyota tundra (gas prices were back to affordable). tundra was stolen, bought a mercury mountaineer (cheap, low miles, room for the kids).
bikes are as follows: 2006 CBR 600RR, sold for a race and street ready 2004 R6, bike was vandalized in apt parking lot and totaled, bought and still own and ride a 2006 Yamaha R6.

As for bikes, near future is a 2009 or newer Honda CBR 1000RR and dream bike is the Ducati Streetfighter, yum, sex on two wheels.

My first car was an '84 RX-7 with a thundering 90 horsepower! It actually would have been fun if it wasn't for the automatic transmission. That got traded in on...
'89 Camaro RS. 5 speed, V8, lots of cheap mods. By the time that car was driven in to the ground it had over 200,000 miles on it, and it made sure you knew about each and every one of them through creaks, rattles, and general body flex.
After that came an '88 BMW 325iS. Surprisingly quick, and amazingly nimble. It had nearly 200,000 miles on it and it still felt tighter than the new Impala I sometimes drive for my work. That was eventually replaced with my current car...
2001 BMW 330i. Lots of fun, lots of features, and at 153,000 miles it's given me less maintenance issues than any other car I've ever owned.

1. 88 Chevrolet Cavalier, totaled 60mph head on collision
2. 80 Toyota Corolla hatchback. It would do donuts for days.
3. 80 Ford Fiesta. Lime green. Blew it up.
4. 86 VW GTI. A deer jumped on my hood at 60 mph on a snowy night. Totaled
5. 87 Audi 4000s. Ran it till a wheel literally fell off. Fixed it, got another 30k miles out of it.
6. 88 Mazda 626. Boring, gave it to my sis.
7. 88 Honda Accord. Transmission went, and it cost more to replace it than the car cost.
8. 80 Ford F-150. Hit 2 deer, then it was done.
9. 86 VW Jetta. Lasted about a year, then got;
10. A newer, more reliable 95 VW Passat VR6. Loved that car. Hit a deer, totaled it. I got twice what I paid for it from the insurance company, though.
11. 87 Audi 4000s Quattro. It would go anywhere. Didn't last long, though, very expensive to fix.
12. 2000 VW Jetta VR6. Lemon laws were created for cars like this. Traded in on the;
13. 04 Toyota Sienna. Family was getting bigger, needed some room, so we bought the van. (love it)
14. 96 Honda Civic. Wife's hand me down when she got the van. (275k on the Civic, and it still is on the road, btw)
15. My current car, an 01 VW Jetta 1.8 Turbo. APR chipped, and fun as hell.
I may have forgotten one or two, but for now that is what I remember.

I've owned,
2003 Dodge Neon SXT 5spd Turbo, which is basically an SRT4. Rod went straight through the first cylinder, didn't want to pay for it.
I now own, 2001 Ford Taurus SES. Sadly the Sho's weren't made in 01, so the most I can do with this is just make it run nice, and peform decent.
