We won't be able to purchase and install from them?
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
The issue is sideloading, which may also be an issue for amazon. If Amazon only allows the app to install from the amazon market, we are screwed (unless you root and enable non-market apps) since the install will be blocked by AT&T. If Amazon lets you download the apk file to your pc, you can use ADB or the sideload wonder mechine to install it. It all depends on if amazon will let us have the app or not.
If you turn On airplane mode and wifi you can access the market with out the AT&T block. You do not have to be rooted.

This doesn't allow you to sideload apps.

So is there a way around this on an unrooted phone or am I at the point of having to root to be able to use Amazon Apps that I have installed?Security Warning: This application comes from an unknown source, and for your security only applications from trusted sources can be installed.

How did you get around installing taking these steps? I tried it, but amazon Amazon_Appstore-release-1.apk tries to install I get the "Security warning" This application comes from an uknown source.
I only get the OK option. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Does this trick work with the Amazon app store?

that all seems like a lot more work than needed.
Just run aRoot.bat to enable root + sideloading:
[SCRIPT] aRoot for Atrix 4G [ root - init.d - sideloading - tethering ] - xda-developers
then run unroot.bat if you really want to disable root access
