I really have no interest in the 'soap box' operas about major company's customer service or lack thereof... but, alas it seems to be chasing me. Mac vs Windows; Intel vs AMD, Google, Yahoo, Match, Angies'... you name it there are legitimate praise and detractors who scream for and against big companies based on their personal experiences.
I've had an iMac for two years and a MacBook Pro for one. There's not been ONE situation where my questions fell on deaf ears. I might not always care for the answer but at least there's a person on the other end who has always, always, always listened, appreciated and communicated with me (the same way I communicated with my customers when I was CEO of a small corporation.) I have little interest in doing business with ANY company that doesn't have an active, two-way communication stream. That's me; my choice. Technology is frustrating enough (which is why you responded). The reason? Poor, little or no customer service. Remember Dell? They set relations with India back a hundred years. As bad as that has been, it was ALWAYS better than nothing... which is what Google has to offer. Trying to find other companies who are as bad or worse than Google is impossible; it's a one-way argument with them... and me. Without interested, interesting and profoundly talented bloggers, we wouldn't know how to get past Square One with them. Thank you again for responding but there's no stance to be taken, no comparisons to be made. Shout at the sky and you'll get more of a response than you will from Big G. "And me."
