How is everyone? I feel like I haven't been on here in a long time. I guess I've just been enjoying my rooted Eris with little problems. Miss you lot, though.

Also: after reading that the Eris is now offically End of Life, I'm pretty sure we now have collector value since Eris' aren't being made anymore! Win :P
 
My Eris is dead. I don't have insurance and can't get another unless I purchase a pre-owned. I'm hoping I win an Incredible from this HTC contest or come across a Droid X in their little scavenger hunt.

Damn. That was the final verdict on your possible battery issue? Verizon can't do anything else for you? Yup, just read your updated post. Sorry to hear that.
 
I'm still suffering from leaker's remorse, wishing I could root. But my phone continues to work problem free, so no need to get a new phone.

W4lly, did you ever get your Facebook sync problem fixed? Mine's been pretty reliable since rooting, but now my wife (on 2.1OTA) never has pictures on her contacts anymore. I think she has too many friends, just like you.
 
Can't he do the refurb thing thru Verizon? I read somewhere (on their website) that once a year you can purchase a refurb unit for issues such as this, when warranty and/or insurance don't cover your "dead" phone.

I'd look into it.
 
Doing not too bad. I am considering taking my eris back and getting an Incredible(Or Droid X). Reasons: Silent Bug, My eris is getting slower and slower it seems, as some times it freezes and i have to do a hard restart... :(
 
@thenestor: I used Sync My Pix..but it isn't very good at common sense so I'm going through and manually changing pictures in my google contacts. Also, I've flashed multiple roms to no success with the actual facebook sync. It's just my account or something. I'm really ok without it.

Also, wow, I can't believe you rooted. Impressive.

Keep in mind people, I too was a leaker...but then I tricked Verizon and got a new phone with 1.5...and then rooted.
