so i have a bricked evo 4g i did this a while back by not knowing what i was doing and i wipped a bunch of stuff from dalvik and cache from the current rom it had. who knew that was important:rolleyes: haha anyways i need some major help getting it back. i know i can get it back cause it goes to the recovery screen and it can still do something. please help anything is appreciated at least. yes it was rooted and it has s-off whatever that means ( not the rooted part)

Anytime you can get to recovery you aren't bricked.

I'm going to suggest MIkG as a ROM to you. If you would prefer a different ROM, simply replace the ROM of choice in the directions below. Alternatively, you could just restore a nandroid

Download superwipe https://dl.dropbox.com/u/63060876/EVO 4G/ZZZVR_SUPERWIPE.zip

download MikG (I have linked my edited version that does not wipe or install after the flash) https://dl.dropbox.com/u/63060876/EVO 4G/MikG3.11edited.no.wipe.no.reboot.zip

Put them both on the SD card.
Reboot to recovery.
Select wipe (wipe dalvik cache, cache, system, data, boot, SD-ext, SD-android secure)
Flash the superwipe zip
Flash MIkG
Reboot

If you aren't on Amon Ra or a variant of it for your recovery, you will need to do that first.

If you were able to flash the superwipe file then you are on the correct recovery.

As for flashing.....All I can do is point you here and hope it helps. I have 0 experience with flashing to another carrier
