Help Soft Keys not responding?

I loved my Rezound but my softkeys quit working again on my replacement phone. Last Feb the keys stopped working, insurance replaced the phone, now again they quit. So since I was up for a new phone I decided to switch to the Note 3. Holy cow - what an upgrade! I'm so lost but sure love the bigger size & the beautiful screen!
My son-in-law has had no problem with his Rezound and it is almost 2 years old. Go figure!

I guess I've been fortunate. I have a first day release Rez and have never had any softkey problems. I have done a couple of factory resets along the way.

Agree it is a digitizer and root will not help... Waste of time.

True. Root won't fix the digitizer buttons, but it would allow you to use apps that put software buttons in the notification panel to replace the digitizer buttons. Useful if you don't fix the digitizer or replace the phone right away.

Unlock and flash a AOSP based ROM, then just enable navigation keys on screen like phones that do not have hard buttons... you lose a section of the screen at the bottom for the keys, but it works.
