Help software option missing on htc sensation

software update option missing from settings / about phone, any help on rectifying this, want to update to android 4.0. phone is a htc sensation xe
 
Hmm that is odd... I will assume you have a branded phone (your phone network (T-mobile, Vodafone etc...) has applied a operating system change) so first you will need to flash a new RUU (wipe the phone and install the standard HTC operating system) You will find many forum posts related to this.
