Software Update 6.0.A.3.73

As mentioned a few posts back, I flashed the European Generic one.

Flashed the nl generic one about ten minutes ago and everythings working fine and dandy , ill see if there is any change in battery life. did you see a massive change in battery after you flashed .73

Nah, to me it's about the same tbh.

Though everyone was moaning about battery life, mine was fine.
i only updated because it was available.

hi all been offline for a while computer probs-is there still not an update officially?

how come some people have it and some dont

Yes, it is officially out.

I guess you just have to wait until your provider releases their version.

I'm with T-Mobile UK and got the update a few weeks ago. :D

Sony Bridge for Mac is now saying I've got a "Sony Ericsson Sony Ericsson Xperia NX" (yes, SE twice) - and can't connect to a server to check for an update!

What's going on now?!

I finally got an update notification this morning. My phone told me to connect to PC Companion to update, so I did of course!
It's a 3UK branded handset formerly on .62 software.
Strangely I also have a sim free Xperia S running .67 software that has not yet received an update

I'm now beginning to think that uk generic will not receive the .73 update but will jump straight to ics

Perhaps the operators are putting more pressure on the manufacturers to roll out updates (or at least ones like this which fix big issues, like network band switching and poor battery life) as I think Samsung gave ICS to the branded Galaxy S II's before the SIM free models.

I still find it odd though, as an update to a SIM free model should be dead quick and bypass the network testing required. It's odd that Sony still treats every generic variant (region) differently in terms of updates.

Upgraded my sxs on 3 network.

Haven't noticed much difference with battery life, but my Bluetooth now works in my BMW. Well chuffed!
