Help Software Update - Google Services update request

My LG G3 just updated its software. Now I continually get an icon telling me that an application requires an update. Requested by Google Play Services. However when I tap the message I'm taken to Google Play Services with only an Update Button! All apps are up to date.

Can anyone explain in layman's terms what is going on and how I can get rid of this recurring icon?

I had the same issue after the update. After a restart though, i updated google play services without a problem and that fixed it.

I got this too, I'm assuming it's an update that is specific for Lollipop which is why it updated after Lollipop arrived.
