Help Software update (Re: g-sensor) PROBLEM

Hello,

I just updated my Hero (G-sensor calibration update), and lost most of the widgets on the screen (only the agenda widget remains???)

I then did what was recommended on the forum: erase the sense cache/data, losing all the previous sense settings of course, but the widgets still don't appear in the available widgets list (I was using HTC clock, HTC mail, GMail, messages, browser favorites, twitter... all gone )

They still are on the installed applications list of my phone, but absent on the screen, and impossible to reinstall since they can't be found in the available widgets. They can't even be uninstalled from my phone.

What should I do?
Is it possible to uninstall say the HTCclock widget & reinstall it again?
Uninstall & reinstall sense itself???

This guy mentioned hitting the 'Get more widgets' option fixed it for them.

I don't run official firmware, but that's what I heard anyway.

Thanks... I tried that, but it doesn't solve the problem for me...

Is it possible to uninstall & reinstall HTC sense without destroying everything ? It would certainly erase any troublesome old setting !

So just certainly do it? What else you wanna erase as cache and data?

Just go as you quoted me in the other thread and just erase cache and data for all apps in question or the ones you think may have something in common with this.

Or root and you can do more (erasing and installing it back, freezing etc)

OR the best thing would be. Dont use Sense . As a friend of mine said

and improving them

Or factory reset? No idea if this would help. Might, not sure. Didnt do it on this update

Btw when you download a new HTC widget. Do you see it? (Btw this might be a stupid question but you did reboot right? )
