I have rooted my phone today, and since then i have noticed that whenever i manually check for system software updates it tells me to download and install 1.21.405.2 .
I've done this several times but the update doesnt seem to hold....have i done something wrong, or this normal?
As far as I know, the update cannot apply with the custom bootloader/recovery that is installed when rooting, so it'll never apply. It sounds like the ROM you have is out of date?
I personally use the r3.1 rom over at Modaco - its the best I've found yet (shame 2.2 still has a few issues).
