Help Software update?

I can't seem to do a software update.it says to check network or sim card.

Try restarting your phone then try updating. If that doesn't work the it the menu button/settings/applications/manage apps/filter/all. Not click on clear data, reset your phone and try it again. Of course u gotta wait for that 24 hr wait to try and update again.
