Software Update?

I got an AT&T text message this afternoon telling me that there is a critical update that would "enhance performance" on my HTC Vivid and I needed to be on WiFi to upgrade. Now, I already have the ICS update, so I wonder if this is a bug update or if my phone is acting up and showing me an old message? Anyone else get this message?

Just a few days before I replace this phone with a S3, too.

i got the same mesage.... of course the ATT software upgrader thingy on the phone does nothing, just like it did nothing when ics came out.... cant find any other info on an update though. Would be nice cause my phone it ****ing retarted since the ICS upgrade.

lol here we go again with the dumb Check for updates uselessness. Ever since ICS came out - I have issues updating apps (hangs all the time) and random reboots. Also, bluetooth has been iffy and would often reboot my phone when trying to pair something new. Otherwise, ICS seemed to work fine. lol

I hate to do this but the same is happening for me. I used the check for updates option for ICS and that didn't work, and then I manually installed the ics update. Now the same thing is happening, but i cant find the option to manually install this new update. The manual install on ICS is buggy and has some problems like trying to re-update the phone every time I turn it on. I might just take it back to AT&T and have them fix it because obviously HTC didn't do a good enough job with the update portion of the phone.
