Software update?

I tried to run it, but it boots up into the rom manager and says it can't find a system resource to do it and the update fails. Anyone else experience this?

If you're rooted, the update most likely won't work, as what it expects to find on your phone will be either missing or altered.

That said, I'd be very grateful if someone would upload the update itself so that I could pick it apart.

I figured thats why, I dont have the update but here is the error I got when it rebooted into CWM:

error in cache/b1c2e4660379.N860-b08c_to_b10G (Status 7)

Looks like they are pushing 10G...whatever that is but if it helps data...I need it NOW:D

Interesting... 10G. Could you upload the update from /cache/b1c2e4660379.N860-b08c_to_b10G for me? The system should not have deleted it already; the B08C update didn't auto-delete after failing. Thanks in advance!

I cleared cache after having to do a battery pull after that error locked up the phone... sorry didn't even think about it. So i then went back to stock thinking it would pop up... been running stock since yesterday and nothing yet. If i flash n00b again which i probably do later today I'm sure it'll pop up again and I'll grab it... maybe one of the people that said it worked still have it

So far I see patches to the RIL, and something called Opencore and Webcore.

I'm seeing updated .apks for the typical apps (videos, phone, music, etc.) Possibly bugfix releases?

It looks like this update is able to wipe a custom recovery in some cases... so be careful.

There's also a Bluetooth update :-) Hopefully more BT profiles will be supported now. That'd be nice.

It also patches mmcblk0p1, mmcblk0p2, mmcblk0p9 and mmcblk0p12, which the updater script calls the "DBL image", the "OSBL image", the "AMSS image" and the boot image, respectively.

Will update this post as I find out more.

hey guys, I tried updating but with my phone being rooted it didn't work. I was just wondering if the update file stays on the phone or deletes after failing to install? also wondering what the online update tool is and if I need it?

Also comes with a "connections manager" apk which apparently automatically checks nearby Wi-Fi aps to determine whether or not to connect.

The primary reason rooted phones can't directly use this update is because the updater_script is trying to assert that all the original files and apps are in place and all md5's/sigs match

...and yes it deletes after install whether successful or not

Biting the bullet and returning to stock and running the update, wish me luck :)

I am curious, hopefully I don't get stuck with stock too long if they fixed some of the security exploits for our root methods LOL
