I guess they're allowing the update now. I manually checked this morning and it found it/installed it. Didn't notice much improvement for me, but I never noticed any issues before the update anyway.
Exactly, especially when AT&T is involved as seen with their "5 Android phones in first half of 2010."
EDIT: Ok, couldn't wait, ordered the Backflip and should have it sometime next week. All you testers bang on that update and find all the bugs so they can be fixed before I get the update ;-)
EDIT: I hope they don't decide to skip 2.1(like they did for 1.6,2.0) and wait to start developing an update to 2.2/Froyo. While I would love Froyo, it seems like Android is moving way to fast for carriers to figure out and stick to a plan. i.e. 5 Android phones by mid-year...
