Help SOLVED Phone keeps going black, please help!

I have had my phone for about 3 weeks and it the last four days my phone keeps going black/blank all of a sudden, especially when I pick up call or call somebody. When that happens I normally just shake the phone or press the top button and it will come back on. However since yesterday when I tired that, it kept going black/blank and wouldn't let me turn it on! It took a little longer for the screen to show up again. I even tried taking the battery out. Also the log on is very slow (it stays at the 4G screen for about 10 minutes, then I have to press the screen or else it would stay there). I have done nothing and added no new apps recently. Also, no settings have changed or anything. Please help, I hear some good things about this phone, so this cannot be common?

I sent an e-mail to HTC they are helping me with the issue.

would you mind posting the results here so if others run into this issue they can find an answer.

Also it really sounds like it could be a cache issue. Have you tried using any cache cleaners?
