Root [Solved] Problems with pictures saving correctly

I'm having problems with the Gallery. I have several sets of pics that aren't showing up on the gallery. I've moved them to the DCIM folder on the internal card and also to thumbnails on the external card but they just won't show up.

Any suggestions to where and how I should format the files to show all my pictures properly?

I've done that more than once and also tried loading one of the older roms I had saved that did have all the photos showing and now they are also missing.

I'm going through everything using root explorer trying to find where and what I can do to fix this.

No I can't even see my phone at all. My hard drive punked out on me and now I'm using Puppy Linux as my operating system and its so very different from windows.

No matter what I do I can't get the Motion recognized but if I plug my old Admire in it shows up right away. But thats another story. Getting back to the pics problem, if I use an adapter I can see every file and picture on the sd card but it is really hard to manipulate those files.

I just did rename one of the thumbnail files to the date format that the pictures in gallery are working with and now those pictures are also showing up.

Yeah I noticed gallery has some bugs. Usually for me it makes my dcim folder be 400+ MB when I have no pictures whatsoever. Also pics don't show up sometimes

I just clear data on the gallery app. You can try that

yeah i got no clue, I just wanted to make sure you actually had them on the SD. The only thing I would have recommended and you already did was to rescan the photos, or use file explorer and try to find it like that and maybe drag to all one folder?

Sorry, keep us posted

Linux doesn't really play well LG phones... IIRC, the reason Sammy phones can connect is because Sammy connects and mounts like a Flash drive... LG phones connect with MTP which is a windows thing....

Yeah, thanks 2gig. I was wondering why linux wasn't working well with the Motion. Makes sense now, but I did move the files all into one folder with the adapter. Any of the photo files that come from the phone are always there no matter what, I found more of my older ones when I finally reloaded DropBox, All of a sudden I had another 200+ pics that were on Dropbox so I also changes the name and merged them with the main folder that I know will always come up on Gallery.
Thanks to all of you for the help.

I had this problem as well when I rooted my LG Motion 4G, but my camera wouldn't show up, yet if I took a picture it would take it fine. What I did is I set the phone back to factory settings I updated the firmware up to Firmware F, Rooted once with the back up system open (fail) restarted the phone with the back up system open and ran the root program while the phone was in the home screen, it not only successfully rooted my phone but it brung back the thumbnails the camera and the ability to look at pictures inside the gallery. I'm not sure how I did it or why it worked but these are the steps that I took to make it all work.

Used this video to root:
