Root [Solved]Removing Stock Facebook App Lg p769 on JB

I am looking to remove the stock FB app from my rooted lg p769 running JB. I want to know if I can just use a root file browser and delete the files or if there is a better and safer way. Has anyone tried this and what was your experience?

I dont suggest removing it.. However I would use Titanium backup and freeze the App..
it technically doesnt remove it, but does the next best thing.. It prevents it from running and removed it from the App drawer

I used a root file browser to go in to the /system/apps folder and deleted a file call facebook.bak that got rid of facebook and now my phone has better battery life and is much faster.
