umm if a Verizon device has a sim card its actually a uicc card that is for LTE only and in my experience not exchangeable between devices, aka its provisioned for the device it came with.
Sim cards are exchangable for 4G devices. I had a Lucid VS840 and I bought a Lucid 2 VS870 and just changed sim cards and the Lucid 2 was activated with my number and everything.
I have never seen a CDMA device do that. Sure your Lucid 2 wasnt activated in the store?
The sim card in CDMA devices is for LTE only, otherwise known as a UICC Card. I think your new phone was either activated at the store and or something, or just some fluke.
Only GSM devices can you just swap out the sim card and you're all set.
not to mention, your new phone should have came with a uicc card.
Yes I'm sure. I bought the Lucid 2 from ebay and it had a bad ESN. since the sim card from my Lucid was already active on my Lucid, it was able to activate the Lucid 2 just by inserting it. It is only for the 4G but it allows the phone to be activated still. I have read that you cannot activate a sim card in a bad ESN device but with an activated sim it still works.
