[Solved] Youtube sign in issues after update

updated on orange to 2.2 froyo, all good except youtube won't sign in. every time i try and open the youtube app it forces close. even after i removed my youtube account. re adding account didnt work, kept asking for password and authentication but would not work.
anyone else with same issues and any ideas how to fix this?

Maybe just a coincidence, but Youtube now requires that you sign in/pair with a Google account

ye, it now works that i linked up with google mail when i set up fox to phone.
