Root Some Apps Not Working After Root

So here's my story:

I rooted using unrEVOked about a month ago. I am still just rooted running stock (no ROM flashed or anything). I tried to flash incredibly re-engineered..it didn't work with the version of CWM i had. I got busy and haven't had the time to try to flash anything. Anyways..

I have however, switched from a 1gb sd card to a 16 gb. I did this by formatting the new card in recovery and then putting all my files onto the new one via my computer.

Now a few of my apps (most noticeably Shortyz and Beautiful Widgets) force close/don't work when you try to open them. Shortyz crossword files are stored on the sd card..it'll work for a little bit and then corrupt the crossword files. This happens either by waiting a few hours, shutting the phone off, or plugging it in. It'll also sometimes uninstall the application after the above is done. I've tried uninstalling, deleting the crossword folders, reinstalling, etc. but every time it's the same. It'll work fine at first, and then corrupt the files and/or uninstall the application.

I guess my question is has anyone run into these problems before? Is it something to do with my sd card (i've tried re-formatting it; didn't work) or is it something to do with rooting?

Thanks!

Back when I was running stock ROM and rooted I ran into problems with it corrupting my SD card. I don't think it necessarily had anything to do with being rooted, but just worth pointing out. I am always careful about keeping clean installations, safe apps, and unmounting my SD card, but apparently that didn't matter. All the data on my card couldn't be saved either.

I just ended up formating it on my computer, plugging it back into my phone, and I haven't had that problem since. Hopefully you'll be in the clear from now on.
