Help Some calls I get go straight to vm

When my mother calls from her cell phone, about half the time it wont show up on my phome that someone is calling. After she hamgs up or leaves a voicemail, I will then be notified of a missed call. Does anyome know what is causing.the.problem and how ro fix it?

I am located east of Atlatna and I see this happening maybe 1 or 2 times a month with MetroPCS. When I was with AT&T, I had more problems with this, call drops, and poor call quality.

For me, MetroPCS has only gotten better, cheaper, unlimited.

All in one fell swoop! :)

I have had MetroPCS for probably 6 months and only seen this happen once. it was about 2 weeks ago. I just ignored it and didnt think anything of it, I figure my phone must have lost connection for a moment when the call was placed.

I've had Metro for 7 years and that happen often, Metro have being improving it's service thru all this years but have to improve it way more!

I am learning very quickly...LOL. Metro PCS does not have a 3G network at this point, so at most times, the phone will be reading 1x. When using data, as far as the phone is concerned, in my case, this is the LG Optimus M, data prevails. The call will immediately be routed to VM if I am using data of any kind. I have yet to find a fix for this where the call would take priority. This may be the answer to your issues. Also, if you are using a phone with wi-fi connectivity, when using the wi-fi you can use both voice and data simulataneously. Can't wait for metro to expand there 4G so that all areas become 3G when the phone is not 4G enabled.

There will not be 3G service. metroPCS is skipping 3G all together and jumping into 4G LTE.

Also one great thing that we can look forward to is that all the major companies are also going to start moving to LTE 4G. LTE 4G is GSM service that uses a Simcard. So once all the phone companies move over to LTE we wont be limited to only MetroPCS phones but can then use unlocked LTE phones from all the other cariers as well.

Someone else posted a similar post in the Ascend section....

I have to agree, seems like when i am using something data related or playing a game(ie. touching the screen) my calls go to VM.

No missed calls notification, just VM notification

Not sure if this is related to what you're experiencing but there is an option in Contacts to force a certain person's call to go straight to vm.
