Help Some Notifications Ring Tones have gone missing!

Hello Folks, ever since Samsung did their phone update deveral weeks ago, I've noticed lots of crazy things happening.

The one thing that I've noticed and really want back is the "Low Battery" ring tone. Now, If I don't look at the phone now and then, it goes dead and I don't know about it. Before the update, it would both vibrate and set off a ring tone to let me know.

Is there a way to get this back without rinnung an app - which will also drain the battery more?

Also, my GMail no longer notifies me at all! Again, since the update.
