Hello All,
I'm new to the Android family and I just got the NOTE this week so I have some questions if you dont mind.

I installed a 16g SD-micro card and have moved my "Kindle" books there but how do I make my photos and videos there?

Also, what do I use to check my data use so I dont go over? and in your opinion what should I keep on my SD-micro card?

Btw, I guess I got a good NOTE as I dont have any problems that I have been reading about in many Samsung forums as I was kind spooked about that.

and I'm coming from an iPhone 4 and so far I'm soooo impressed with this phone that I cant believe how fun and awesome it is :D:)

Thx, Jake

Hi Jake,

No, we don't mind if you ask questions ;) Welcome to the forum!

The easiest way to move files in bulk is to connect the phone to a computer and use it's file manager to do the work. There is a file manager in the phone, but it is a little fiddly to use. Of course, there are surely many apps that could be of assistance, but nothing as friendly as a USB cable (this is no iPhone so you don't need iTunes any more).

I use Onavo count to check my data use (since I have not updated my phone to ICS yet) and it should do everything you need. It can be obtained in the Google Play store for free.

You can put anything you want on the external card (other than installed apps). I have all my mp3s and videos there. Obviously the external card will be a little slower than the internal memory, but it should not make a difference (certainly not for media files).

Enjoy your new phone!

Hope this helps...

Eric Ritchie.

Thanks Eric, so theres not an option to have a picture/video go to the SD card right after taking a picture/video?
Thx, Jake

Sure, you can do that (I just found out). Open the camera application. In the top left corner you will see a cog icon which will take you into the settings. Scroll down to near the bottom and you will find the storage option.
