How to delete widgets from HTC Thunderbolt homescreen

To delete Widgets from your Home Screen:

  • Step 1: Tap and hold the widget
  • Step 2: Drag it to trash bin that will appear in the bottom right of the screen

To move Widgets around your Home Screen:

  • Step 1: Tap and hold the widget
  • Step 2: Drag widget to its new position

Adding a widget

  • Step 1: Go to a part of the Home screen where there’s space to add a new widget.
  • Step 2: From the Home screen, tap Personalize icon
  • Step 3: Tap Widget

How to change skins for HTC Thunderbolt

Instructions:
Skins are set to give a different look and feel to most of your phone’s onscreen buttons, application screens, option menus, and other items.

  • Step 1: From the Home screen, tap Personalize icon.
  • Step 2: Tap Skin

  • Step 3: Slide your finger on the screen from right to left to select the skin you want.
  • Step 4. Tap Apply.

How to change the HTC Thunderbolt wallpaper

Instructions:
Browse the collection of wallpapers included in your phone or choose from photos that you have taken with the camera. You can also change your Home screen to use an animated wallpaper.

  • Step 1: From the Home screen, tap the “Personalize” icon
  • Step 2: Tap Wallpaper

    • HTC wallpapers: Choose a preset wallpaper, then tap Preview > Apply.
    • Live wallpapers: Choose from preset animated wallpapers. Tap Preview to view the animation, and then tap Apply.
    • Gallery: Choose a photo that you have taken using the camera or copied to your storage card. Crop the photo and then tap Save.

Instructions:

  • Step 1: From the Home screen, press ” Menu” key
  • Step 2: Tap Settings

HTC Thunderbolt battery saving by setting screen timeout duration

Note: Remember that the longer the screen timeout, the more battery power will be drained if you forget to manually dim the screen.

  • Step 1: From the Homescreen, press the “Menu” key.

How to find and install Android apps on HTC Thunderbolt

Market reviews of applications can be helpful in finding the right application.

  • Step 1. From the Home screen, select the applications tab (lower-left corner).
  • Step 2. Select Market.

  • Step 4. Select the Apps tab.

  • Step 6. Select a tab.

  • Step 7. Select the application / widget such as:
    • Widgets
      • CNN News : Delivers up-to-the-minute news and information on the latest top stories, weather, and entertainment.
      • The Weather Channel: Delivers live local weather conditions.
      • Fox News: Delivers the latest and breaking news.
    • Applications
      • Advanced Task Killer: One click to kill applications running in the background.
      • XFINITY Mobile: Listen to your voicemail, view your home phone call history, forward a voicemail by email and manage call forwarding.

  • Step 8. If the desired application is free, select Install.
  • Step 9. If the desired application is paid, select Buy.

  • Step 10 .If presented, select Buy now.
    • If payment method is not entered, select Select payment method then enter the credit card information.
  • Step 11. If presented, select OK.
    • Review the alerts for access. If they are not acceptable, cancel the installation.

How to perform hard reset for HTC Thunderbolt 4G

Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.
Preferred Method

  • Step 1. From the Home screen, select the applications tab (lower-left corner).
  • Step 2. Select Settings.

You have to be rooted, and use an app that takes screen shots.

The way I rooted and Im still a noob to Droids. Super simple and easy.

Thats what I use to take screenshots because Drocap didnt work.


You Do Not have to be rooted to take screen shots. But the process to take them can be more complicated than actually rooting if device.

Just want you to know that your posts are greatly appreciated. There are plenty of Android newbs (me included) and while some is easier to figure out, step-by-step tutorials are always helpful. I hope you choose to continue to share as these ideas come to you. :)
 
I have gone to my Thunderbolts storage settings and camera settings and can not find a way to save the photos taken with the camera app to my SD card... can any one help?
