If there is that would be great, I know isaac was working on something to boost it [cm7] but I guess it was more of a work in progress, anyone know anything that helps boost signal?

There isn't a way to boost signal that I'm aware of from the software, unless somebody knows something I don't, which is a distinct possibility. You can try a PRL update by dialing *228 and picking the appropriate option, as some people say they've gotten better signal after doing so, but the actual antenna inside the phone would be what dictates signal pickup, as well as your location in relation to a tower.

*228 is for metro, dont know about cricket, try *611

*228 on cricket also, but I don't know which option. *611 is customer service.
the *228 is for cricket programing number, it will do everythig by itself, at the end will say "your phone has now been programed", that should make your telephone recognize the signal again, I recomend also to visit Nationwide Coverage | Cricket Wireless you enter your zipcode and will tell you the kind of coverage you have, the best is the darkest green...
