Root Some way to save apk to SD?

I've reset my phone twice (error 67, going to stay away from wifi tether for now) and just hate having to redownload everything. Is there some way to save the apk to SD so I can just reinstall them without having to redownload everything again?

Titanium Backup is nice for that purpose.

GO Backup is another option which I've read good things about, but haven't used myself.

Guess I don't know how to use Titanium Backup (free one) cause I've backed up some apps but not sure where those backed up apps are supposed to show up to reinstall.

- Open Titanium Backup.

- Tap the menu button on your phone (the one next to the home button).

- Tap on "Preferences"

- Scroll down to "Backup folder location" and tap on it.

- navigate to /mnt/sdcard/_ExternalSD

- Tap the first listing in the file list - "<< Create a new folder >>" and name it "TitaniumBackup"

- Tap on the new folder "TitaniumBackup" you created to open it.

- Tap the "Use the current folder"-button.

Your backups will now be saved in this folder - /mnt/sdcard/_ExternalSD/TitaniumBackup/ which is on your external sdcard (microSD).

BTW, if you already made backups, then they are probably on your internal sdcard (located in /mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup/) which isn't very helpful if you have reset your phone since they would have been deleted. If they are still there you could copy/move the TitaniumBackup folder from your internal sdcard to the external.

Yep, that's where they were going, totally useless. And I just moved them to the SD but it's not detecting them for some reason, so I'm just saving new backups over them.

Well, I manually moved them, maybe that's why they weren't detected. When I switched folders in Titanium Backup it tried to move them itself but said 0 of 25 moved successfully.

Get Mybackup Pro, it will save you a lot of headache.
Much more straight forward than Titanium.

You can also just copy everything in /data/apps/ to the sdcard and copy them back.

Try closing Titanium Backup (with a task killer) or rebooting and then running Titanium Backup. It may be able to detect the backups in the new location you set at that point.

I didn't think it would be a problem.

Or try Mybackup Pro ^
