I was trying to make the notification bar the dark gray one, and i went and followed directions from Dark Gray Status Bar and Transparent shade - Page 4 - xda-developers and the phone reset before i was even done typing in the directions, now im stuck in an infinite loop. I heard about sbf and all that, but i dont know where to start. My phones rooted with zroot (as far as i know). I tried to do the factory reset, but no avail. Someone help me out pretty please!

I'm guessing you did not flash an alternative recovery or backup your ROM? I'm not being smart just hoping you did so you can either restore your back up or flash a custom ROM by downloading it to a coputer and putting it on your sd card.

If you didn't do either of those things you will need to flash an sbf file using rsd lite to revive youjr phone. The stock recovery will not let you flash a custom ROM. You can find the instructions in the Droid - All Things Root - Android Forums or try teddyearps site as I think he has information on using rsd.

I was using the stock verizon rom. I didnt really put much on there. That (the notification bar) was the first time use of the terminal and whatnot...
Wish i could get a handle on this so i know what goes where and how it all works. Curse my "only jailbreaking iphones" experience.

Now im upset because i cant find my card adapter...

Oops I just noticed that your header said Droid X. This is the droid 1 forum and the instructions are for the droid 1. Try and post this in the droid x-all things root forum and someone should be able to help you.

Yes, and realize that any thing at my site will not be of any help since it's ONLY for the A855 Droid 1. I'm also going to ask for this to be moved.

good luck
