went looking around the net for a way speed things up by removing a setting or a layer of settings and found a post from someone that had a sprint phone on another network removed bunch of setting from ##3283# namely from data profile and multimedia and dss. the one that get my eye was rev. tunneling off so i home buttoned to home and hit dailer dailed all the codes then found data profile rev. tunneling was on then i turned it off turned off phone then turned back on the phone noticed a difference went to dslreports tested mobile speed and noticedd faster page load but worse ping (at the most 40ms ) also noticed something about a logon error didn't see what it was went away too fast. was wondering if anyone else tried this. also is there a problem removing the info in the dss settings ?

I have personally tried the above before and found no noticeable difference in speed on network or anything. It did not hurt anything just be sure to MAKE A BACK UP AND WRITE THOSE SETTINGS DOWN SOMEWHERE THEY WON'T GET LOST!!!! You never know if you need them again.

Something to remember, if on a custom rom, I found you can not change the mmsc for what ever reason. Oops wrong post.
