Help Something simple I have trouble with

What's a good way to set my background without having the picture distorted? It's never centered the way I like if I just click "set as wallpaper". It's really surprising they never made this easier in native android at this point...

Depends on your phone, you might not be using Native Android. The only way that will happen is if you use a Nexus. If you have Samsung, HTC, etc, you aren't.

Anyway, normally you should have a cropping screen for setting wallpapers. Don't you get that?

Nope. Maybe it's because I'm running Blisspop? I'm never stock anymore. But then again even on stock I don't remember ever getting a crop option. I'm on LG Volt

If particular device and Android version doesn't have cropping options when selecting wallpaper, you might have to DIY using an appropriate picture editing app, to crop and shape to how you want it.

I've found that gallery and launcher apps may have their own wallpaper editors with different ideas of cropping.

Why not just crop the picture on PC to the resolution of your screen?

Then you can be absolutely sure of what will be displayed.
