Somethings you need to know before buying the inspire

Here's a dumb question. Will a sim from an iPhone 4 work in the Inspire if used with a sim adapter? That's what I do with my Captivate. I have an iPhone data plan, but use it's sim in my Captivate and it works fine.

yeah, as long as you transfer your stuff to the regular SIM, it'll work. As of right now, the iPhone 4 is the only phone compatible with the micro SIMs

Ouch My head is spinning.
I have a grandfathered unlimited plan. I have an iPhone 4. I think there is something different about the iPhone data plan, I think it has to do with visual voicemail or whatever it's called. I plan to continue to use the iPhone and swap the SIM (I have an adapter so don't even go there). I live in an area where we don't get (fake) 4G, and I don't believe we have an option to add a 4G data plan. Do I need to do anything at all with my data plan or just leave it alone? Thanks.

That's not true. I use a sim adapter. That's how I take the sim from my iPhone 4 and use it in my Captivate. Everything works, even the data.

My question is will this work with the Inspire? Will the sim from an iPhone 4, using an adapter, work in the Inspire and have the data work?

Yup, I have the Telus version, and a micro sim card. It works with a HSDPA connection.

what has been circulating the interwebz is that all the 4G (really just HSPA+ right now, it might apply to LTE) are the same thing as the two tiered plans, but the plans are allow 4G signals to be picked up. (not really sure how AT&T can block it like that, but apparently they can...i think) ***according to AT&T, anywhere you get a 3G signal, you'll also get HSPA+ signal because they piggyback each other.

so in theory: We all keep unlimited because we grandfathered in, we all get HSPA+ signal as soon as the phone launches tomorrow. I would expect some hiccups because the phone hasn't officially launched.

*and btw, this all my speculation as far as theories and stuff. I actually don't work at AT&T or have access to their policies/memos. I did however work for a Best Buy Mobile for about a week lol

Thanks Antioch216. I once played one on TV, too. I hope you are correct though. Anyone else have a reply, I'd be appreciative.
