son formatted sd card; wanted to root phone and load new rom. Bootstrapper wont work, phome boots to a white triangle with an astrict and droid icon. pushing magnifying button on phone opens strapper screen, but when trying to run I get an error. any ideas?

Sounds like recovery mode. What kind of phone? Can you find a stock img to flash?
