Help Sony Xperia Z1 HELP!

Hi, I new to Sony and android (coming from iPhone), I have got the Z1 and would like to know how to get SMS notifications to show on the lock screen. I know it's got the light and preview on top bar but I am looking for something to show actually on the lock screen.

You can't with the stock messaging app (not that I can see anyway), but other SMS apps like Handcent/Chomp/Pansi might offer that functionality.

There isn't even a messaging widget on the lockscreen.

You might also want to look at something like Lightflow, I think that has an option to popup notifications on the lock screen.

If you swipe to the right on the clock on your lock screen, you should see a window with a plus in it; IF you click on the plus sign, the phone will ask for your login credentials. Next, login, and you will see a number of informational windows that will show in that spot. Hope this helps.

As EP says, this isn't possible with the stock Sony lockscreen, but you can pull the notification down even when the screen's locked.

I'm using NiLS notifications lock screen on google play on my Z1. Seems to work well. Very customisable. For example you can choose how the notification is displayed size wise when you get an SMS..either small - v small font, takes up little screen area, minimal info from SMS. To large - larger font, takes up more screen area ( like iPhone notification), can read some of the SMS info.

Found it by luck but thought give it a go....all good so far.
