Help Sony ZU no ring on incoming calls

Hello Members

My stock Sony Z Ultra's been updated to the official Sony kitkat firmware, and i know there are sound bugs with this firmware version

I also know Sony have issued an updated firmware to correct the problem, trouble is, i haven't received the 'over the air' update yet (i'm in the UK/london, with the three network).

So until i get the new OTA update, do members know if it's just a setting that's been turned off somewhere that i can turn back on?

I don't have access to another computer, or access to a friend, or relitives computer, so i can't manually update it using the Sony PC updater software.

Today I received the latest Sony firmware update, version .757.

Still found i had a problem with the incoming calls not ringing, i found i had to put the phone into silent mode, then back to ringer mode and that did it.

Must have refreshed some cached settings, hope this helps anyone else.

I've also noticed there's no start up chime when turning the phone on, this happened with the original kitkat Sony update, an this big fix .757 update firmware version.

But the phone is working ok, the camera can be a bit slow to start though.
