Help Sort contacts by last name?

Hey just got a new Inspire today after having iPhones for 3 years. I'm beginning to get acclimated and I like it so far but I'm having withdrawal in a few areas. Primarily, how do I sort my contacts by last name? I found a generic android how to that mentions going into "Contacts" and changing the "Display Settings". Well my Inspire doesn't have "Contacts", just "People", and there is no "Display Settings" in there. Anyone have a solution?

Your timing is exemplary, this new model is the best yet. The more time you spend the better it gets, having had some iPhones including the 4, my preference is Android by far.

I have tried that to no avail. I even did the opposite & it still didn't work
