Root Sorta new to Android....How do I root?

OK, I'm sorta new to smartphones....I know how to use 'em, whatever, but how do I root my LG Optimus V?

I wanna be able to do with the Android OS, so I think I should try rooting.....

There are plenty of 'How to' threads in this forum to get you started. Mine is here, and the sticky at the top of this forum Whyzors 'How to' here. Please read everything before you do anything to the phone and make sure your comfortable before you do. Rooting and flashing a custom ROM is an awesome way to upgrade your phone... but it does have risks. So if you don't read and know what your doing, you could brick your phone. But read and any questions you have, we'll be more than happy to help!! )
