Help Sound Crackles on Car Stereo

Hi guys, I decided to use my Desire S to play music in my car instead of my old ipod, the problem is the sound often crackles during playback, particularly when there is a big bassline. There's no problem when i play music through headphones, just on my car stereo. I've replaced the lead but the problem remains.

Any suggestions?

Are you trying to charge it at the same time? Mine crackles then

no it's not charging, any ideas what it could be?

Solved it! Turns out all I had to do was turn the volume down on my phone and turn it up on the car stereo. Happy Days
