Help Sound issues after root

After a rather successful root, this morning when my alarm went off for school it was scratchy, it would play for 2 seconds....cut out....play...cut out. I thought hmm maybe its a corrupted Sound file because i was using an Mp3 alarm sound. But just to test my theory i went on youtube and tried to view a video, Same issue. I dont know if its the phone, or the root.

Any tips or similar stories? Very confused here.

did you flash necrosan's squealjoy v2.2 custom kernel?
many including my self have issues with this custom kernel
some of the examples of the issues i and others are having are semi bricks or endless bootloops audio if this the case i would try to flash a differant custom kernel there are many floating around the interwebs one example of a site with custom kernels and other modifacations
